Right now, it is hard for researchers to access the information they need to determine the correct dosage and understand side effects based on the different demographics they are working with. Benchsci’s algorithm allows it to easily scan literature and pull out the most important parts. We propose using this technology to create a comprehensive, well-organized tool based on pharmacodynamics literature and databases.
Mockup of Platform
To maximize efficiency during preclinical and Phase I trials, researchers can use pharmacodynamic profiles to understand the mechanisms behind how the drug works and how different factors (disease, age, gender, ethnicity) affect its ability to work. Using BenchSci’s technology, we can pull out these profiles and categorize them by disease/drug. Doing this will allow researchers to easily see potential risks for their participants and patients, as well as determine proper dosages based on the constraints and participants for their trial.
Example of Information That Would Be Collected Using Technology
In the example above, Benchsci’s technology would analyze the paper and the associated figures and pull out the information on the efficiency of different types of insulin for various demographics. This information could then be sorted and displayed in an easy-to-see manner where scientists could search the drug and disease and access the risk analysis and dosage tool.
